Dear Journalism/Media Adviser and Teacher,
The School of Journalism and Broadcasting at WKU invites you to attend its annual Journalism Scholars Day program Thursday, November 6, 2008. This year’s program is designed to motivate, challenge and inform you and your students. As a high school media adviser you probably received this information by mail. For your convenience, however, we are sending the information again as an attachment to this e-mail.
In addition, we would like to solicit your help to identify college bound students interested in pursing a career in journalism, photojournalism, advertising, public relations or broadcasting. Below is a link to an online survey for your review. Upon your approval, please pass the link on to your journalism students. The School of Journalism & Broadcasting will only use the results of the survey to identify students interested in our programs. The information will not be shared outside of the school and will only be used to provide participating students requested information on our undergraduate programs.
For each completed survey identifying you as the media adviser, your name will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card from Wal-Mart. We know schoolteachers often need supplies beyond the budget of their school district and this is a way to help. The deadline for submitting the survey is November 5.
