Management Improvement Consultant RFP, 540-0800001602, deadline December 10, 2008, 4:00 p.m.  The Kentucky Department of Education is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) from qualified individuals to assist local school districts in management improvement.  

Background  

The Kentucky Board of Education is required by KRS 158.780 and 158.785 to establish a program for management improvement services for school districts that demonstrate such a critical lack of efficiency or effectiveness in governance or administration that state mandated corrective action or state control of the district is required.

 

This RFP and any subsequent award(s) will be governed in accordance with Kentucky Law.   

 

Description of Services

 

Under the direction of the Associate Commissioner of the Office of District Support Services, the consultant is assigned to perform one or more of the following duties:  conduct management reviews in the areas of finance, governance, personnel, school facilities, and pupil transportation in those districts requesting such services or as assigned by the Commissioner of Education; monitor districts with declared financial emergencies or those on a financial watch list; and perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Commissioner.

Any contract resulting from this Request for Services must comply with provisions of KRS 45A.695.  The Department has the right to cancel the selection process at any time for any reason. Only the Commissioner of Education or his designee may bind the Department. 

 

Kentucky Virtual High School (KVHS) RFP, 540-0800001615, deadline Wednesday, December 17, 2008, 4:00 p.m.

 

The Kentucky Department of Education is issuing a Request for Proposal(s) (RFP) from qualified individuals to assist in the developmetn and delivery of high quality instruction online through the Kentucky Virtual Schools(KYVS).  The KYVS offers online courses to elementary, middle and high school students as well as professional development through the Kentucky Virtual High School (KVHS) and e-Learning Kentucky professional development.
