All instructional materials for all compliant bids must be delivered to the official review location (Gheens Academy, Louisville) during the week of June 16 - June 20, 2008. All deliveries must be made to the inside of the building.
Textbooks must conform fully to the specifications of the current National Manufacturing Standards and Specifications for Textbooks.
In accordance with KRS 156.027 and 704 KAR 3:455, all instructional materials bid for use in Kentucky schools must be offered in an alternative format for use by students who require reading accommodations. The vendor shall provide information about the availability of an alternative format for use by students who require reading accommodations and the technical characteristic of the electronic file for each instructional resource. Format must be in compliance with KRS 156.027 and 704 KAR 3:455.
Electronic materials in lieu of textbooks must conform fully to the application software standards set forth in Kentucky Education Technology System Architectural Standards and Technical Specifications and be available on both Intel and Macintosh platforms.
Any person, firm or corporation submitting a textbook and/or instructional material bid or bids shall comply with the provisions of KRS 156.395-156.476 and 156.990 and should refer to KRS 61.980-61.988 for definitions.
The State Textbook Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
