Read to Achieve: Reading Diagnostic and Intervention Grant Program

The Read to Achieve Grant Program was created to focus on reading diagnostic and intensive reading intervention for struggling readers within the state primary program. The Reading Diagnostic and Intervention Grant Program is a competitive program that provides funds to schools to implement research-based reading diagnostic and intervention programs. The early reading intervention program selected by the funded school must be based on reliable, replicable research and offer short-term intensive one-on-one or small group instruction in essential skills necessary for reading proficiency.

IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION!

RTA SCHOOLS WILL BE ABLE TO UPDATE CHANGES USING THE MGT SYSTEM...

We are pleased to announce a new procedure for handling CONTACT CHANGES. As always, there are always staff changes at the beginning of each school year. This also is typical with RTA staff, including the principal.

With so many RTA schools (330), it is an ongoing challenge to ensure our contact list is up-to-date. We now have a new system in place to resolve this problem. The goal of the new system is to increase the speed and efficiency of contact changes.

Effective immediately, ALL contact changes should be made by RTA school staff (intervention teacher, data coordinator, or principal) at the school via the MGT of America web site. MGT has created a page where you can add or delete contacts as turnovers occur in RTA staff.

KDE will NO longer make contact changes for schools. Please be sure that all RTA staff are informed of this change and understand the importance of knowing that is the responsibility of the RTA school to update contact information as soon as possible to ensure all critical grant information is being received.

The process is simple to us. First, go to the MGT website (https://secure.mgtamer.com/kyrf/). Login using your User id and Password. Your User id is your regular school e-mail address: (first.last@district.kyschools.us).

If you are new to the MGT. system this year you will need to be assigned a password. Instructions for being assigned a password are included on the web site. The MGT technology support staff is extremely prompt in attending to questions.
